A new hut is being delivered for the Marine Park wardens to a location outside Stanis Taverna. That'll stop people sneaking onto the Loggerhead turtle nesting beach at night.
It cant be long before this wartime german lookout meets a watery grave.
Very thick deposits of sea grass were piling up on Kalimaki beach and could prove difficult for the turtles to overcome.

Gerakas beach is heavily protected by the marine park wardens.
Gerakas beach is another important turtle nesting beach. It is closed from 7pm until 7am each night.

You could almost surf on Dafni beach
Sekania beach is a total no-go area. It is protected as it is the largest nesting beach in Europe for Loggerhead turtles. The brown colour in the water is run-off of rainwater from the hills after 24 hours of downpours.

I'd never seen such a high tide at kalimaki. All the sun beds ahd been moved up the beach leaving the umbrella bases behind.

At dusk I saw a couple of fire fighting bi-planes coming in over Lagana bay.
